WENDY Wu Tours played host to 70 key Harvey World Travel owners and managers by staging several local market stalls at the Koto Restaurant in Saigon on Friday evening.
Whilst they enjoyed the tasty local fare the agents were entertained by a selection of Vietnamese dancers and musicians at KOTO where there is a wall which features bricks with names of guests and organisations who have donated to the organisation. A number of agents on the evening purchased their own brick in support of KOTO’s activities.
Wendy Wu Tours is a sponsor of KOTO which is a not-for-profit restaurant and vocational training centre set up in 1996 by an Australian of Korean-Vietnamese origin.
KOTO comes from “Know One-Teach One” and includes staff of former street children who have completed the training program.
WWT managing director Alan Alcock told agents, ‘As part of our corporate social responsibility, Wendy Wu Tours is continuously looking for ways to support worthwhile causes within the countries in which we operate.
‘KOTO is a prime example of such a cause as it assists underprivileged youths by enabling them to learn life as well as culinary skills. This was a wonderful way to thank our agent partners for their support and allow them to experience the great work of KOTO.’
