Industry excellence celebrated at Australia’s National Travel Industry Awards.
The formalities of the 2018 National Travel Industry Awards have just wrapped up at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, with Flight Centre named as the Best Travel Agency Group for the first time in five years.
The sold-out gala black-tie event saw attendees honour the pinnacle of the profession, with other major winners including Helloworld Business Travel which took out the Best Non-Branded Travel Agency Group. Singapore Airlines won the Best International Airline – Online category, while perennial favourite Finnair once again took out the Best Offline Airline award.
Royal Caribbean won both the Best Cruise Operator – International Deployment and Best Cruise Operator – Domestic Deployment categories, while another major winner was APT which won Best River Cruise Operator and Best Tour Operator – Domestic. Intrepid was named Best International Tour Operator, and Adventure World won the Best Wholesaler – International Product award, while the Best Wholesaler – Australian Product was Qantas Holidays/Viva! Holidays.
The evening included a performance by Aussie vocalist Anthony Callea, and guests are now partying the night away at the NTIA after-party.
