Business class product upgrades for Qantas.
Qantas has this morning announced several enhancements to its international Business class product, including a new “sleep service” which will see a mattress placed over the existing Skybeds on international flights.
Customers in business class will also be offered duvets instead of blankets for extra comfort, while the Qantas business class amenity kits have been revamped with the introduction of new Kate Spade New York and Jack Spade products.
Changes will also see the wider rollout of the Select on Q-Eat service, which has been undergoing a limited trial and sees passengers able to select from a wider meny by choosing their meal and when they would like to dine before they board.
QF International ceo Simon Hickey said the new services were focused on improving the opportunity for premium customers to sleep on international flights.
Other recently announced enhancements include the planned introduction of door-to-door chauffeur service for business and first customers on long haul flights over 12 hours from April 2013, in connection with the carrier’s proposed Emirates alliance.
