Armstrong moved from Australia to Switzerland to take the role in 2020.
Contiki Holidays Chief Executive Officer Adam Armstrong is departing the business, Travel Daily can exclusively reveal.
The brand’s parent company The Travel Corporation confirmed the news, extending its gratitude to Armstrong for his leadership, dedication, and contributions to Contiki’s growth, since his arrival with the youth tour operator five years ago.
“The portfolio is undertaking a strategic review to enhance efficiency across the TTC Tour Brands while preserving Contiki’s unique identity as the leading youth travel brand,” TTC told TD.
“During this transition, Melissa DaSilva, currently serving as Interim CEO of TTC Tour Brands, will ensure strong leadership and continuity for the brand.”
Armstrong joined Contiki in 2020, having previously led Royal Caribbean and Silversea in Australia.
“Leading such an iconic, legendary brand has been an incredible honour and would not have been possible without my epic team of Contiki rockstars who have consistently delivered the magic to our young travellers,” Armstrong said.
“I would like to sincerely thank the Tollman family for putting their faith in me to lead Contiki out of COVID – and I wish both Contiki and TTC every success in their new chapter under Apollo Funds.”
