Nina Hedges to replace Naomi Menon as AFTA Compliance Manager.
The Australian Federation of Travel Agents has today confirmed that former Flight Centre Travel Group Customer Liaison and Risk Manager, Nina Hedges, is the successful applicant for its Compliance Manager role.
Hedges has been in travel for about 17 years, and joins AFTA today in the lead-up to the pending departure of Naomi Menon. AFTA CEO Dean Long said Hedges’ “proven record in managing a variety of stakeholder relationships with business, industry and government will support AFTA in supporting our members in our ongoing efforts to uphold our code and charter, and maintaining the value of booking with ATAS accredited travel professionals and businesses”.
Menon has been with AFTA for more than six years, and is leaving the organisation for an “exciting new role outside of the travel sector,” Long added, paying tribute to her “exemplary service, including as an essential member of the team that kept AFTA running during COVID”.
