The peak industry body elected its 48th Board during its AGM today.
The Australian Travel Association (ATIA) has confirmed Travellers Choice CEO Christian Hunter has been re-elected as Chair along with Flight Centre CEO Graham Turner and The Travel Corporation MD Toni Ambler, both as Vice Chair.
BCD Travel’s Greg O’Neil and Corporate Travel Management’s Jo Sully join as new Directors to serve a two-year term, while returning Directors include Webjet Group CEO and MD Katrina Barry and HLO COO and Executive Director Cinzia Burnes, as well as the aforementioned Hunter and Turner.
Sully takes over from her colleague and CTM Managing Director, Jamie Pherous, who returned to the Board in 2024 for the first time in five years.
“I am excited that Jo as our Australian NZ CEO has been elected ensures that CTM continues to provide a leading contribution to addressing the major challenges our industry must overcome,” Pherous said.
Danielle Russom, American Express SME Asia-Pacific Vice President, also leaves the Board.
She said, “As I transition to my next opportunity, I am unable to continue in this role, but I leave with immense admiration for the ATIA’s dedication to strengthening the travel sector and fostering innovation”.
