Joint national campaign to complement ATIA’s Member Campaign Portal.
The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has joined forces with 19 peak business organisations in an unprecedented call to all political parties to prioritise Australian businesses ahead of the federal election.
Spearheaded by the Business Council of Australia, ATIA CEO Dean Long said his organisation will represent the travel sector at a national media conference in Canberra, where ATIA will reinforce the travel industry’s place at the table of serious economic and policy discussions.
“We are in the room, at the microphone, and on the front foot,” Long said.
“Our coordinated campaign activity during this election, including our current member activation through our Election Hub, is part of our ongoing priority to
make sure travel and travel businesses get the support they deserve,” he added.
Over 90% of ATIA’s members are small businesses, collectively booking over $30 billion in travel services in 2024 and directly supporting nearly 17 million Australian travellers every year.
