Two Bonza 737s to operate flights from Coolangatta to 11 destinations.
Bonza has just announced that Gold Coast Airport will be its third base, with flights to go on sale shortly to Albury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Gladstone, Mackay, Mildura, Rockhampton, Townsville, the Whitsunday Coast, Melbourne Avalon and Melbourne Tullamarine.
Fares will lead in at $49 one way, with Bonza CEO Tim Jordan saying the announcement “is about creating more depth in our network by connecting existing Bonza destinations with the Gold Coast”.
This next phase of Bonza’s growth will add 70 weekly flights and almost 700,000 additional seats annually into and out of Gold Coast Airport.
Queensland Airports Limited CEO Amelia Evans said the partnership between Gold Coast Airport and Bonza would deliver more than $100 million in annual economic benefit to the region.
