Fledgling carrier confirms details of trade distribution plans.
Startup Aussie airline Bonza has this morning launched a new travel agent portal, and is inviting the industry to register now in preparation for its flights going on sale.
The carrier, which until now has touted its unique “app first” approach for bookings, has confirmed that travel agents will be the only non-direct way to book Bonza flights.
“We fully understand some customers will prefer to book through a friendly and trusted face at a local travel agency, and we want to support the travel trade community by investing in this portal,” said Chief Commercial Officer, Carly Povey.
The low-cost carrier is planning to launch 27 routes across 17 destinations, with Povey saying “by helping agents get clients from A to B without the C (cost and complexity) we hope to encourage more Aussies to explore their backyard”.
Agents can register now at www.flybonza.com/registration/.
