Virgin Australia appoints Judith Crompton as Group Executive Sales.
Virgin Australia has just announced the appointment of Judith Crompton to the newly created role of Group Executive Sales.
Crompton is well known to the industry, having most recently been London-based Head of Global Corporate Sales with Etihad and also having held a range of former roles with Qantas, TQ3 Navigant and Flight Centre.
She’ll take up the new appointment effective 01 Aug, and will oversee all corporate, government, industry and leisure sales including eCommerce, Blue Holidays and Call Centres covering both Virgin’s domestic and international networks.
The appointment follows a global search to fill the position which was announced as part of an executive restructure earlier in the year.
Crompton will report directly to ceo John Borghetti, who said “now that we have achieved significant progress in repositioning Virgin Australia as the airline of choice in Australia, driving sales and developing client relationships across all parts of the business is a key focus for our business.
“Judith’s depth of experience in global sales, together with her extensive senior executive management career in the travel and aviation industries, will prove a great asset to Virgin Australia,” Borghetti added.
