Queensland hotel ablaze after helicopter crashes on roof.
A popular hotel in Cairns has been evacuated after a helicopter crashed on its roof early this morning.
There are no reports of injuries on the ground at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cairns and all guests and staff have been evacuated as a precaution, according to local authorities.
Police have also implemented an exclusion zone as emergency services attend the scene, and the circumstances surrounding the crash are currently unknown.
While early reports suggest there are no injuries to guests, the fate of those on board the chopper is yet to be confirmed.
