Fiona Dalton to replace outgoing TTC CEO John Veitch.
Fiona Dalton has been confirmed as the new CEO of The Travel Corporation in Australia, following the recent resignation of incumbent John Veitch.
Dalton, who is currently on a sabbatical from her role as Managing Director of Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection to spend time with her family and complete an MBA, will take up her new role in October this year.
Veitch will step down in April, and then former Insight Vacations MD Lorraine Sharp will act as interim CEO until Dalton takes the reins at the beginning of October.
The changes were confirmed by TTC Global CEO, Brett Tollman, who is currently in Australia to help celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary.
Tollman wished Veitch “all the very best in his new career as he embarks on a leadership role outside the travel industry.
“With change comes opportunity and I am thrilled to announce the internal promotion of Fiona Dalton and welcome back distinguished industry leader Lorraine Sharp as part of the transition plan,” he said.
Tollman said Dalton’s capabilities covered strategic, general and financial management, coupled with strong communication, negotiation and commercial acumen.
