Newly created roles for corporate and leisure CEOs at Flight Centre Travel Group.
Flight Centre has just announced a reshuffle of its top ranks, with the creation of two new global CEO roles.
Current chief operating officer, Melanie Waters-Ryan, will become CEO of FCTG’s leisure operations across the world, while Chris Galanty will head up the company’s corporate business.
Galanty was formerly head of FLT’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business, and will continue to be based in London.
Waters-Ryan will operate from Brisbane with responsiblity for the company’s “established and emerging leisure businesses” across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, the USA, Canada and India as well as The Travel Group network of in-destination businesses.
Three new regional managing directors will join Galanty, Waters-Ryan and CFO Adam Campbell on the company’s global leadership team, reporting to MD Graham Turner.
These new appointees include Steve Norris as London-based EMEA MD, James Kavanagh as MD Australia, and Charlene Leiss as MD Americas.
“These enhancements reflect the importance and size of both our leisure and corporate busiensses and underline our global growth ambitions in both sectors,” Turner said.
