FCTG three-year strategic agreement with LCC
Tigerair Australia has just confirmed a new joint venture with Flight Centre Travel Group that will see agents across its network offer the budget carrier’s suite of airfares and optional add-on products.
The three-year agreement offers multiple “mutally beneficial sales and marketing opportunities”, said Tigerair Australia ceo Rob Sharp.
“It’s a great time for this strategic alignment as we look forward to the commencement of our first ever direct services from Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide to Bali in Mar,” Sharp added.
Flight Centre boss Graham Turner said the deal emphasised FLT’s commitment to offer travellers the widest choice of airfares.
“Tigerair has developed a solid presence on domestic and (commencing soon) international routes and its offering has become an attractive proposition for our leisure and corporate travel customers,” Turner said.
Subject to regulatory approval, TT’s services to Denpasar (Bali) will be operated by Virgin Australia International, providing a Tigerair service.
