Helloworld offshoot World Aviation Systems no longer HA GSA.
Hawaiian Airlines has just announced a restructure of its operations in Australia, moving to an “in-house comercial business model” due to ongoing growth in the business here.
Last year HA appointed industry veteran Gai Tyrrell as its local regional director, with Tyrrell thanking World Aviation Systems for its “services and dedicated representation over many years”.
She said the Helloworld subsidiary had made a considerable contribution to building Hawaiian Airlines’ presence in the market.
“Our business has now matured and evolved in both Australia and New Zealand and it is appropriate to scale up our commercial resources in line with our operating presence and future plans,” Tyrrell added.
She confirmed that HA would continue to outsource reservations services, with a tender process to be undertaken shortly.
