HRS takes 100% of Lido, with combined operation headed by Ana Pedersen.
Corporate hotel solutions technology provider HRS has today announced a full merger with Australian and NZ hospitality specialist The Lido Group, building on the minority stake in Lido acquired in 2016.
The combined operations will take on the HRS name and operate from a single Sydney-based office, with Lido CEO Steve Mackenzie to depart the group once the merger is finalised.
HRS Australia/NZ Managing Director, Ana Pedersen, said “this merger is good news for a marketplace that is increasingly aggressive in implementing automation and technology to maximise hotel costs and business traveller satisfaction”.
She said the expansion of operations would continue to allow clients and TMCs to benefit from HRS and Lido technology, with the company offering direct connections with all corporate Online Booking Tools, innovative payment solutions and access to more than 500,000 properties across the globe.
HRS offers hotel experts on the ground in more than 65 markets, with 1,500 staff globally and a range of proprietary solutions allowing corporates to easily book accommodation in compliance with travel policies and negotiated benefits.
