The experiential tourism group was competing for the purchase alongside NRMA’s tourism division.
Kelsian Group has entered a binding agreement to sell off all its tourism portfolio operations to Journey Beyond for $161 million.
The assets include Kelsian’s K’gai resorts, SeaLink Sydney Harbour ferry service, the Murray Princess paddlewheeler, Adelaide Sightseeing, and SeaLink Western Australia.
The divestment was first flagged in September 2025.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of FY27, subject to regulatory approval.
