Stepping aside after more than a decade as an AFTA Director.
Helloworld Travel Limited’s Julie Primmer has resigned from the Board of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents.
The shock news comes just a day before the announcement of the results of this year’s AFTA Board Elections, with Primmer one of eight candidates who were listed on the ballot paper, nominating for the six open vacancies.
AFTA Chair Tom Manwaring paid tribute to her contribution, saying “on behalf of the Board, the AFTA members and the AFTA team, I would like to thank Julie for her tireless contribution and active participation as a Director since her election in 2012”.
Primmer said it had been an honour to serve on the AFTA Board, adding that over the last decade “there have been some vigorous conversations…but it’s always been clear that we are united in our focus of making a difference for AFTA’s members through a sustainable peak industry body, with an eye on the priorities that matter”.
