Former The Travel Corporation executive returns to travel in Webjet board role.
Webjet Limited has just announced the appointment of Katrina Barry as a Non-Executive Director.
Currently the Global CEO of restaurant smartphone-at-table ordering platform ME&U, Barry’s previous roles include being MD of Contiki Holidays and Trafalgar across Australia, New Zealand and Asia between 2014 and 2022. She’s also a former Director of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents.
Webjet Chair, Roger Sharp, said the company had been considering adding an additional non-executive director with deep travel experience for some time as part of its succession planning process. “With recovery in the global travel sector well advanced, we are delighted to welcome Katrina to the Board. I am confident that she will bring considerable value to the business,” he said.
Barry said she was delighted to join the board of Webjet, “a company I have admired for a long time”.
