Evolution of Aquire program boosts business points earning.
Qantas has just released details of a scheme called Qantas Business Rewards, “a new loyalty program aimed at small to medium-sized firms”.
Building on the existing Aquire initiative which launched in 2014 and has about 125,000 members, the enhanced program adds new features including earning Qantas Points from the first dollar spent, and the ability to increase the earn rate by flying more.
Three levels of membership also allow members to earn and access “significant savings on future bookings”. The top level, where staff earn 100,000 or more Qantas Points flying for business, gives companies a higher points earning rate plus 8% off the base fare on selected airfares – and 2% on a selection of Red e-Deals.
Participating businesses can also earn points by purchasing through various suppliers partnering with Qantas Business Rewards, including new additions Caltex and Jaguar Land Rover. Travellers continue to earn personal Qantas Points in addition to the points which accrue to the business.
Qantas ceo Alan Joyce said the new program “is another reason for businesses to choose Qantas, on top of the network reach, reliability and level of service we offer”.
MEANWHILE, the modified agreement between Qantas and American Airlines which sees the QF code removed from AA flights between the US and Australia (TD Mon) will also extend to AA’s code being dropped on Qantas flights from Sydney to Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth and New York effective 30 September 2017. American Airlines has confirmed the changes will also see its frequent flyer policy change so members of its AAdvantage program will earn fewer miles on the Qantas services.
