Qantas boosts frequent flyer benefits for top tier customers.
Qantas has just announced a range of measures for its “most loyal customers” in the next phase of its recovery from the recent industrial action.
Under the offer, “selected Qantas Frequent Flyers will be offered additional points based on their tier status,” valid for all eligible QF flights from 16 Nov-23 Dec including both new and existing bookings.
CEO Alan Joyce said the move aimed to recognise the loyalty of top tier customers, adding: “we deeply regret the impact on our Frequent Flyers of the recent industrial action and grounding of the Qantas fleet”.
All Platinum and Platinum One members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Scheme will receive double the points they would normally earn for flights during the period, while Gold members will receive a 50% bonus.
Silver and selected Bronze members will get 25% more points, while “members who were directly impacted by industrial action will be offered a unique Qantas gift or experience”. These could include free membership to the epiQure food and wine community, a Qantas First Lounge or Qantas Club invitation, a voucher for Qantas Valet or Qantas Drive or a complimentary Q Bag Tag.
