QF to fly to SFO effective 18 December 2015.
Qantas just confirmed that tickets for its new Sydney-San Francisco route are now on sale, with a published schedule showing six weekly departures from Sydney.
The Boeing 747 flights will depart at 1500 and arrive into SFO at 0930 on the same day, initially operating on peak days from 18 December and ramping up to the permanent schedule of six per week – every day except Saturday – in late January 2016.
The flights will be numbered as QF73/74, with the return service leaving San Francisco at 2325 and arriving in to Sydney 0900+2.
Qantas International ceo Gareth Evans said the announcement of the new route had “really struck a chord with our customers,” with healthy demand expected from both leisure and corporate travellers.
