Helloworld Travel corporate division appointed sole provider of travel management services for SA Government.
Helloworld Travel Limited has just confirmed that its wholly owned QBT Limited offshoot has been appointed as the sole provider of travel management services to the South Australian State Government for a minimum term of three years.
QBT will take over effective 01 February 2019, with QBT to provide a range of services to all of the SA Government’s 43 agencies, which will commence a transition from their existing arrangements over the next two months.
The government bodies will have access to QBT’s online booking portal, offline booking services, 24/7 in-house support and “state-of-the art business intelligence reporting,” the company said.
Andrew Burnes, CEO and Managing Director of Helloworld Travel Limited, said “we are delighted to add the South Australian Government to the expanding number of significant clients within our QBT business. Our service offerings, provided by the outstanding teams we have across Australia including Adelaide, combined with our technology suite, provide excellent outcomes for our customers.
“Put that together with our client transparency and the commercial offerings that come from being part of the broader $6 billion-plus Helloworld Travel business and we are seeing increasing demand for our TMC offerings in both Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
QBT currently also provides travel management services to the Whole of Australian Government, the ACT Government and the Northern Territory Government, with QBT Group General Manager, Nick Sutherland, saying the SA Government tender was “a rigorous and professional process which allowed QBT to demonstrate our service expertise and the advanced digital and personal service we offer our customers”.
