Another round of payments from the Reviving International Tourism Grant program (RITG) to be made this week.
The efforts of the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) and the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) in campaigning for more financial support for tour operators and travel wholesalers has paid off, with confirmation this afternoon that the Federal Government will action more crucial funding support.
Following a well-received first stage of the program, the second batch of payments will be made to successful applicants, which will enable more recovering businesses to attend approved international expos, conventions and trade missions.
“The RITG program’s financial support has been invaluable for CATO members, aiding in the reconnection with international supply chains and the innovation of exciting new products,” CATO MD Brett Jardine said.
“This assistance plays a crucial role in fostering a robust recovery as we navigate ongoing post-pandemic challenges,” he added.
