Sydney-Singapore services expanding to five daily plus a boost for Adelaide.
Singapore Airlines has just announced a further increase in flights to and from Australia from the Northern Winter 2024 schedule season.
Subject to regulatory approvals, from 27 October 2024 SIA will add a fifth daily flight to Sydney, “in anticipation of strong demand for travel to and from the city across the busy year-end peak,” the carrier said.
Effective from the same date SIA will also add three additional weekly flights to Adelaide, taking the total number of services to the SA capital to 10 times per week.
Singapore Airlines Regional VP South West Pacific, Louis Arul, said the additional services were a response to the sustained strong demand for travel to and from Australia, and “will provide further room for growth in Australia’s travel industry”.
Tickets for the additional services will shortly become progressively available for sale via SIA’s various distribution channels. The extra Adelaide SQ276/277 flights will utilise Boeing 787-10 aircraft each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while the fifth daily Sydney frequencies will depart the NSW capital at 0645 each morning under flight codes SQ201/202.
