Vaccinated Australian citizens able to enter Singapore from 08 November.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has just announced the extension of the country’s Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme to encompass travellers from Australia.
Under the system fully vaccinated Australians who have been in Australia for at least 14 days prior to departure may enter Singapore without quarantine. All VTL travellers must have a negative pre-departure PCR test within 48 hours of departure to Singapore, and then another test on arrival at Changi Airport, and remain self-isolated until the result is confirmed to be negative.
Children aged 12 and below who are not vaccinated are allowed to travel under the VTL into Singapore if they are accompanied by a VTL traveller who meets the requirements.
Singapore has also announced the extension of the scheme to encompass Switzerland. A maximum of 4,000 travellers are able to enter the country from VTL nations each day.
The Singaporean authority noted recent comments by Prime Minister Scott Morrison about Australia opening up to more visa class holders from Singapore. “Details for this arrangement will be announced by Australia later,” the announcement stated.
