Alysandratos family purchases shares from UBS and Europe Voyager.
Sintack Pty Ltd, the private company owned by Irene and Spyros Alysandratos, has once again lifted its stake in Helloworld Limited, and now holds 19.91% of the company.
The increase is due to a two share purchase agreements with key shareholders Europe Voyager and UBS, with Sintack paying almost $17 million to boost its shareholding from the former 13.36%.
Europe Voyager NV, the holding company operated by CVC Capital Partners, has sold 3.6 million shares to Sintack for $2.40 each, comprising 3.28% of Helloworld. Sintack has also purchased 3.6 million shares from UBS Australia Holdings Pty Ltd for $2.30 per share, with the combined deals worth $16.92 million. As a result, Europe Voyager’s shareholding in Helloworld has been reduced to 12.3% while UBS Australia retains a stake of just 1.3% in the company.
Helloworld shares today closed at $2.30. The move means Sintack becomes Helloworld’s second largest shareholder after Andrew and Cinzia Burnes, who own 40% of the company. The other major shareholder is Qantas with 19.3% of Helloworld.
