Emirates leader Tim Clark to step down at the end of June 2020.
Emirates has confirmed the upcoming retirement of Sir Tim Clark, the airline’s President, who has worked with EK since its inception in 1985.
Clark will retire effective from 30 June next year, with the carrier’s CEO Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum hailing his achievements as he has “ably steered and grown Emirates to its standing today as the world’s largest international airline, and an eminent player in the global airline industry”.
Al Maktoum said Clark’s brilliance as an airline manager and planner as well as his dedication to quality and innovation had been fundamental to the success of Emirates, as well as to the success of Dubai as a global aviation hub and destination.
Clark will be hands-on with the business until June, and will thereafter stay on to support the leadership team in an advisory role.
