No frills flights to Denpasar put on hold today
Tigerair Australia has confirmed the temporary suspension of flights between Australia and Denpasar (Bali) after the Indonesian government imposed “new administration requirements”.
In a statement, Tigerair said it “was and is in compliance with all original conditions imposed by the Indonesian Government on the operation of its Bali services”.
Four services have been cancelled today from Melbourne and Adelaide to DPS, while return flights back from the Indonesian holiday hot-spot to Perth and Melbourne have been cancelled.
Passengers on the cancelled services have either been re-accommodated on next available Virgin Australia services, or are being offered a full refund.
Tomorrow’s daily return flights from Australia to Bali are currently under review with a decision on their operation expected later today.
Passengers are being contacted by the airline to provide re-accommodation options “to ensure customers are supported during this disruption,” Tigerair said.
Tigerair’s domestic flights are not impacted.
DFAT is advising travellers flying to Bali with Tigerair Australia in the near future to refer to the budget carrier’s website for updates.
