Former Holland America Line/Seabourn executive joins relaunch of Crystal.
Tony Archbold has been appointed as Vice President of Sales – APAC for Crystal Cruises, with the new role giving him the “envious task of leading the relaunch and success of this much-loved and highly awarded brand to our trade partners and guests in the APAC region”.
Archbold was formerly the long-time local head of Sales & Marketing for Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line, departing the business as part of a restructure just over six months ago.
Crystal Cruises was previously owned by Genting Hong Kong, but ceased trading early this year when its parent company declared bankruptcy. The brand and its two ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, have since been acquired by the owners of Abercrombie & Kent, with Archbold saying he was thrilled to be able to work closely with the sister brand and its local leadership including Debra Fox, Susan Haberle and Michelle Mickan.
