The organisation has appointed a long-standing member of the team to take on the top job.
Tourism Australia has today announced the appointment of Robin Mack as managing director.
Mack has worked for Tourism Australia for over a decade, most recently as executive general manager global markets & business events, and has been in the role of acting managing director since August last year.
In his global markets role, he was responsible for Tourism Australia’s 16 key markets, the commercial team overseeing global distribution development and partnerships, and Business Events Australia.
Prior to joining Tourism Australia, Mack worked in the travel and tourism industry and gained almost 30 years of experience, including in roles for Qantas and British Airways.
Senator Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism, said, “Mr Mack’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Australian tourism industry”.
“With his experience, enthusiasm, and collaborative approach he will be a powerful advocate for Australian tourism operators and destinations on the international stage.”
