The long-serving executive will be returning to his native Australia to spend more time with family.
Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill has confirmed recent speculation into his future by today declaring his intention to resign from the organisation.
After four years in charge, Hill plans to step down at the end of August to return to Australia and spend more time with his growing family.
Hill’s time in the role has been marked with major achievements, including the popular and successful ‘Where Happiness Comes Naturally’ campaign.
Fiji Airways Chairman Andre Viljoen, himself due to leave his Fijian role in the coming months, said Hill helped to guide the rebuild of both the organisation and the Pacific destination as a whole in the wake of the pandemic.
Fiji’s post-pandemic record has set the country on a strong path for tourism success, with many investment and sustainability objectives underway such as Tourism Fiji’s move to introduce electric vehicles (EVs) nationwide.
