Industry celebration sees industry supporters recognised for their contribution.
Last night’s “Still Still Standing Celebration” included the surprise announcement of the first ever Travel Daily Editors’ Choice Awards.
Eight categories were presented at the event, each specially selected by the Travel Daily, Cruise Weekly and travelBulletin team to showcase some of the strong achievements which have been made despite the pandemic.
The winners are:
Best Destination Representative – Julie King and Associates
Best Cruise Marketing Award – Princess Cruises for “The Real Love Boat”
Best Tour Operator – Bunnik Tours
Best Education and Training – Travel Industry Mentor Experience (TIME)
Best Air Ticketing Support – CVFR Travel Group
Best Wholesaler – Entire Travel Group
Best Cruise Industry Support – Norwegian Cruise Line for “Walk for Wellness”
Best Industry Support – Richard Taylor from the Travel Community Hub
Publisher Bruce Piper said the list was by no means comprehensive, but aimed to highlight several key successes and contributions over the last few years. “There have been so many examples of excellence as the industry has pulled together to survive, and we wanted to call out just a few who we thought deserved recognition,” he said.
Last night’s event saw several hundred attendees gather at the Four Season Sydney for a night of conviviality, thanks to the generous support of sponsors including Viking Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Rail Europe, CVFR Consolidation Services, Oceania Cruises, Scenic, World’s Leading Cruise Lines, Hurtigruten and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
