From next month, international travel will finally be back on the table in Victoria.
Victoria is roaring ahead with its reopening schedule, following the lead of New South Wales in welcoming back fully vaccinated Australians from 01 November with no quarantine requirements.
Premier Daniel Andrews made the announcement in a press conference today, as Victoria awoke to its first day of freedom from its sixth lockdown, reasoning the state was as “protected as we can be” at 80-90 per cent fully vaccinated.
Anyone aged 12 and over flying into Melbourne will need to be double-vaccinated and return a negative COVID test within 24 hours of their flight.
Travellers will also be tested after flying into Victoria – more in today’s Travel Daily.
