VA boosts 737 fleet to 84 planes, stands up all team members.
Virgin Australia has just announced that its frontline team will be fully stood up and back in operation by 01 December, as well as recruiting for a further 600 staff across the business in engineering, pit crew, cabin crew and corporate roles.
CEO Jayne Hrdlicka also confirmed letters of intent to acquire an additional seven Boeing 737NG aircraft, while two more Airbus A320s have been recently added into the carrier’s WA resources operation.
“This fleet growth underlines the confidence we have in the future of our business and the industry generally. Vaccination rates are rising, borders are opening, and demand is returning,” she said.
