Rail Plus’ latest ‘Your World on Track’ brochure highlights the company’s ever-expanding range of London, Paris and European sightseeing tours and travel passes, as well as offering new rail journeys and – in response to travel agent requests – a handy fold-out map.
The 2013 program features a variety of new non-rail options, including guided day tours in Scotland that depart from either Edinburgh or Glasgow and take in some of the country’s most famous sights, such as Loch Ness and Stirling Castle.
Also appearing for the first time are attractions such as London’s Sea Life Aquarium and the creepy London Dungeon, where live actors, shows and rides bring to life everything from Jack the Ripper to grisly plague.
Rail Plus has introduced a new ‘European City Essentials’ section this year offering a selection of popular products, including Hop-on Hop-off bus passes, the Sound of Music Tour and The Berlin pass, along with fresh options such as the Jungfrau Return Day Trip ticket and the OMNIA Vatican & Rome Pass.
Valid for three consecutive calendar days, the OMNIA Vatican & Rome Pass offers excellent value by combining a travel-card for Rome’s public transport system with free or discounted entry to the city’s top attractions and fast-track entry to all of Vatican City’s museums, historic buildings and tours. The Pass also includes a three-day Hop-on Hop-off bus tour.
As always the ‘Your World on Track’ brochure offers information on Eurostar’s services, along with a wide range of rail passes and high-speed trains across North America, Asia (including the increasingly popular China), Britain and Europe, where Turkey is now participating in this year’s Eurail Global and Eurail Select passes, giving travellers a choice of 24 countries.
The 2013 program also features new rail journeys in New Zealand and Russia, including:
- TranzAlpine – a spectacular 4.5 hour trip between Christchurch and Greymouth that passes dry beech forests and tussock grasslands before crossing the Southern Alps and descending through lush rain forest into New Zealand’s rugged west coast
- Coastal Pacific – travelling from Picton to Christchurch passengers enjoy the South Island’s Pacific Ocean coastline on one side and mountains on the other, with the option of a break in Kaikoura for whale watching or a swim with dolphins
- Northern Explorer – panoramic windows and open-air viewing decks provide unforgettable views of New Zealand’s beautiful farmland, volcanic plateaus, dramatic mountains and stunning river gorges on a 10-hour journey between Auckland and Wellington
- Trans Mongolian Discovery – a 19- or 21-day independent or fully-escorted voyage between Beijing and St Petersburg passing through seven time zones and some of the world’s most fascinating cultures, landscapes and cities.
The new ‘Your World on Track’ brochure is now available through TIFs to travel agents across Australia.
